It was only a few years ago when we were approached with regards to performing a storage, pick, pack and dispatch operation for a new building that was being erected in central London.

We listened to what was required, planned, costed and quoted for the project.

Before we knew it, we were given the go-ahead and started receiving in the first of many hundreds of containers, all loaded with glass, cladding and fixings for a beautifully designed modern building.

The containers were loaded with specially designed stillages containing the various pieces of oversized architecture, but they proved no problem for our professional warehouse operatives to offload.

On an almost daily basis, we would receive instructions from the construction firm, who, at the time, were the third largest organisation in the world, to pick and send various panels and pieces for delivery to central London.

Using our stock control systems, we would locate the required panels, build suitable stillages and dispatch on one of our vehicles, which was almost on 'standby'.

It was good to see the building take shape, a bit like a jigsaw puzzle, knowing that we had just a little hand in changing the London skyline forever.
